It became harder to get insurance companies covering your property today in California. Many policies are getting cancelled and other are getting letters of compliance or different types of things to address.

SERVPRO of Huntington offers this new service “ Home Inspection and Repairs Certificate”.

What does this include?

We provide a certificate that your house was inspected for the following items listed bellow and the issues found were repaired.

What do we inspect:

• Inspect property for any moisture in walls, ceilings and floors
• Inspect for any visible signs of mold or mildew
• Inspect for any signs of long term damage
• Inspect all water supply lines and angle stops
• Inspect for necessary smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to be present according to up to date codes requirements
• Inspect exterior walls, widows, doors etc..

What is next? We are creating a full report for the owner, of the findings and the items that need attention alongside with an estimate of the repairs needed and the recommendations.

What do we recommend?

• Supply line and angle stops older than 10 years to be replaced
• Install smoke detectors and carbon monoxide in the rooms that are required by code to have them and there are not installed
• Install water leak detectors in bathrooms, kitchen and laundry
• Address all areas were high moisture readings are found
• Address all long term, mold/mildew situations
• Seal widows/doors where are signs of leaks or any damage to the windows/doors that can cause future damage

After all repairs are completed, we are creating a certificate with a full report of the items that we inspected and the repairs completed.

This certificate proves that you took all the steps in your power to prevent possible water damage from happening in the future and disrupt your valuable time with your loved ones.
